This application, once loaded from the server, operates entirely within your web browser and does not send any data anywhere. However, please note that, through the abundance of caution, we do not recommend using this application to analyse message with personally-identifiable information:

You should not use this application to analyse message with personally-identifiable information.

This application analyses HL7 v2 Orders (ORM^O01) or Results (ORU^R01) messages, provided by the User, for conformance with the expectations of the RCPA with regard to coding Universal Service identifiers, Observation Identifiers, Units of Measure and other aspects of messages when compared to data for SNOMED-CT and LOINC codes included in the RCPA SPIA Terminology Sets and related materials. It also flags these orderable or reportable tests that are included in the ADHA Top 50 Priority Orderable tests.

    • Pathology Terminology and Information Standardisation Projects - In 2011,The National Pathology Terminology and Information Standardisation Plan was developed to standardise pathology terminology leading to limited terminology reference sets with guidelines for their use and a standard for units of measure to minimise the risks from variation in practice. Standardised pathology information structures and terminologies allow for improvement in the recording, decision support, communication and analysis of pathology data to enhance overall healthcare for the individual, the population, and the healthcare system for its practitioners and payers. The ability to provide semantic interoperability between computers enables assurance of fidelity of communication while reducing the risks associated with laboratory variation, transcription errors and misinterpretation of data due to ambiguity of terminology.
    • Top 50 Priority Tests/Panels for SPIA adoption - The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) has been contracted by the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) to collate pathology requesting data from a range of sources with the intent to develop a Priority Tests/panels for Standardised Pathology Informatics in Australia (SPIA) adoption which any laboratory can utilise as a starting point to begin the SPIA Implementation process.

This application requires a screen at least 920 pixels wide.

This application must have the ability to write a text file to the operating system's file system and the user must have the ability to retrieve that file from the device for use independently of this application.

Perforce, mobile phones, or tablets whose operating system does not allow users access to the file system are not supported on the assumption that most will not meet the requirements stated above.
